The 2023 Atomic Strive 16 MN returns with the same freeride-focused design that made it a hit, now with updated graphics. This binding blends the power and retention of a high-DIN alpine binding with a lower, lighter, more agile build—ideal for modern all-mountain and big-mountain skiing.

Why we like it:

It keeps things simple and powerful. With low stack height, a wide toe, and MultiNorm compatibility, the Strive 16 MN brings a modern approach to classic alpine performance.

Who it's for:

Aggressive skiers looking for a rugged, no-nonsense binding with a low profile and wide platform. Great for anyone charging hard in varied terrain who wants dependable release and response across multiple boot types with the exception of some touring boots.

Highlights:

Featuring a DIN range of 7–16 and Atomic’s LDN Toe design, the Strive 16 MN puts you closer to the snow, boosting balance and terrain feel. The wide toe and heel platform improve edge-to-edge power transfer—especially important for skis north of 100 mm underfoot. MultiNorm compatibility supports Alpine (ISO 5355), GripWalk (ISO 23223), and select Touring soles (ISO 9523), adding serious flexibility for riders with multiple boot setups. Despite its burly retention range, the binding’s lightweight chassis keeps swing weight low and skis feeling quick.

Things to consider:

This is a pure alpine binding with no walk mode. If you're planning to tour, even occasionally, you’ll want to look toward a hybrid binding with tech toe capability.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Available in multiple brake widths—be sure to select the size that closely matches your ski’s waist for proper fit and function.
